BJP Friday said anti-national activities will not be permitted in Jammu and Kashmir.
Reacting on arrest of separatist leader Masarat Alam Bhat, party spokesperson Sambit Patra, however, downplayed the suggestion that BJP’s pressure on state government resulted in Bhat’s arrest and said the state police acted after collecting due evidence. He was talking to media in New Delhi.
BJP General Secretary Ram Madhav reiterated that there was no pressure from his party and the action has been taken under law. On protest in Srinagar, Madhav said that it is a law and order issue and state government will deal with it strictly.
