Bangladesh Outplay Pakistan By 79 Runs In First ODI

Bangladesh out played Pakistan by 79 runs in their first ODI of the series in Dhaka Friday.

After electing to bat, Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim both scored centuries to pile up a total of 329 runs for a loss of six wickets. This was the highest ever stand by Bangladesh for any wicket.

Fast bowler Taskin Ahmed and spinner Arafat Sunny claimed three wickets each as Pakistan crumbled at 250 runs in 45.2 overs.

It was also the second time ever in 48 games in all formats that minnows Bangladesh beat Pakistan. The only other time was during a group match in the 1999 World Cup in England.
