Describing the grand alliance as an “alliance of fear”, the BJP today said that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar by resigning has done the ultimate thing.
Talking to reporters after Kumar put in his papers before the Governor in Patna, senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said, “I am feeling pain for my state Bihar. This alliance was unnatural. This was an alliance of fear of BJP”.
When asked what would be the next scenario in the state, Prasad said, ” Kumar has taken a decision and it was for him to decide what his next move would be”.
The grand alliance comprising of the JD-U, RJD and the Congress has been under severe strain ever since Deputy Chief Minister and RJD chief Lalu Prasad and other family members were named by the CBI in the land scam. There was immense pressure on Mr Lalu Prasad but he had ruled out the resignation of his son.
