Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Friday assured that the magisterial enquiry ordered into the Chittoor encounter killing 20 persons will be completed without delay.
Replying to a letter written by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Panneer Selvam on April 7, Chandrababu said magisterial enquiry has been ordered to ascertain facts.
He further said the state government has made all arrangements necessary for completing postmortem and hand over the bodies of the diseased to their respective families.
He assured his Tamil Nadu counterpart that no delay will take place in the magisterial enquiry and necessary action will be taken accordingly.
Twenty persons, all of them from Tamil Nadu involved in red sanders smuggling were killed in an encounter in Seshachalam forest area in Chittor district when police opened fire in retaliation while they were indulged in smuggling red sanders wood.
