In a serious threat to the national security, the official website of the Ministry of Home Affairs was hacked this morning by some unidentified persons. Immediately after the reports of MHA website hacking emerged, the cyber experts, National Informatics Centre blocked the website and have initiated an inquiry into the incident.
“The website has been blocked immediately after the information and further investigation is on,” said a senior official of the Union Home Ministry.
This is not the first incident when such activity of website hacking has been reported. Earlier also, more than 700 central and state government agency websites have been hacked in the past 4 years, said the sources.
The website, which was still not accessible till 3:15 PM, the message that could be seen on its was “This site can’t be reached” on Chrome browsers.
