IPL-08 : CSK Beat KKR BY 2 Runs , Both Royals To Clash Today

The West Indies all rounder Dwayne Bravo’s crucial three wickets haul and a blinding catch enabled two-time winners Chennai Super Kings to beat defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders by just two runs in a low-scoring IPL match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai last night.

Earlier batting first Chennai Super Kings scored 134 runs for the loss of six wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. However, Kolkata Knight Riders could score only 132 runs in the stipulated overs with the loss of nine wickets.

Replying to the CSK’s 134/6, KKR fell short by two runs owing to some wonderful bowling backed up by stupendous fielding from the opponents, especially the likes of Brendon McCullum and Dwayne Bravo who dived all around the park saving crucial runs.

Both spinners Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja did a commendable job to keep the KKR batsmen at bay as their six overs produced just 23 runs.

Dwayne Bravo of CSK was the Man of the Match for his excellent bowling figures of 3-022-3.

Today, Wednesday ,both the ‘Royals’ – Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals will lash at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangaluru at 8 P.M.

While RR are in second spot ihe Points Table with 11 points , RCB are still in fourth position with only 6 points.RCB played six matches and won in three games.

CSK still maintains their No.1 position with 12 points in six wins off seven matches.
