28 April, New Delhi

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley Tuesday charged opposition parties with disrupting proceedings in the Rajya Sabah on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks during his recent foreign visit.

Talking to reporters outside Parliament, Jaitley said the Congress has left with no issue to raise against the NDA government. He said that in this era of satellite TV and internet, it is not possible to keep any issue under geographical boundaries.

The Minister said that Modi had never said anything wrong against the opposition while abroad and only referred to issue of corruption in the country with Indian diaspora.

He said that it is ironical that doing corruption is not a crime but talking about it, is a crime. In his recent three nations visit, the Prime Minister had said it will take time to clean up the mess of the past government.
