JD-U Wednesday asked its rebel leader Sharad Yadav not to join RJD chief Lalu Prasad’s August 27 “Desh Bacaho BJP Bhagao” rally.
Addressing a press conference here, party spokesperson K C Tyagi said, “I urge Sharad Yadav not to be a part of Lalu Prasad’s programme”.
Tyagi said sharing the dais with “tainted leaders” does not suit an honest and a good leader like Sharad Yadav.The JD-U spokesperson expressed surprise as to why Sharad Yadav has not questioned the graft charges levelled against Lalu Prasad and his son Tejashwi.
Targetting the programme of Opposition parties — Sanjhi Virasat — called by Sharad Yadav here tomorrow, My Tyagi said leaders like Ram Manohar Lohia, Jayprakash Narayan and Karpoori Thakur had fought throughout their lives against corruption and dynastic politics but Mr Yadav is ignoring their principles.
Tyagi also informed that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi between August 25-30 and will demand Rs 2.75 lakh crore for the state.
