Massive Tremors Of 7.5 Magnitude Felt In Northern and Eastern Parts Of India Including Odisha

Massive tremors were felt in several parts of northern and eastern parts of the country today Saturday. Tremors were felt in Delhi and NCR region for a minute at 11.44 am.

According to MeT department, the magnitude of quake was 7.5 on the Richter scale whereas the epicentre was at Nepal, Aabout 77 Km North-west of Kathmandu. Services of the Delhi Metro have also been temporarily suspended in view of massive tremors.

The quake also hit several parts of the country including the states of Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh and Assam. People came out from their houses due to panic. There was no immediate report of any casualty.

The epicentre of this earthquake was north-east Kathmand and the magnitude was 7.9 . Several buildings and public houses were damaged. No casualty reported till this time.

Due to the quake , there has been huge property loss in Nepal and the Kathmandu Air Port has been shot down . The Kathmandu flights are being diverted to Indian Air Ports.
