Prime Minister Narendra Modi has proposed that SAARC countries should conduct regular joint exercises for relief and rescue works during natural disaster.
In a telephonic conversation with Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif Thursday , Modi said, SAARC countries can minimise damage during natural disasters through the preparedness.
Sharif called Modi to express his condolences at the loss of life in the recent earthquake. The two leaders also discussed unseasonal rain and its adverse impact on crops.
The Pakistan Prime Minister appreciated India’s efforts in the rescue operations in Nepal.
