The Rajya Sabha will begin its sittings from today, Thursday to further take up financial and legislative business as part of the ongoing Budget session.
The session, with 13 sittings, will continue till the 13th of next month. The last session of the House, which constituted the first part of Budget Session, was adjourned on the 20th of last month and was subsequently prorogued by the President in order to re-promulgate the land ordinance.
An official release said, the main agenda of the session includes discussion on demand for grants of railway and general budget for 2015-16 and passing of appropriation and financial bills. The working of five ministries will also be taken up for discussion during the session.
